Exciting Oklahoma School Upgrades: How New Bonds Will Transform our Local Districts

We’re thrilled to see so many local school bonds passing! These investments will make a lasting impact on our communities by improving safety, expanding facilities, and enhancing educational opportunities for Oklahoma students. Here’s a quick look at what’s coming:

Banner Public Schools located in El Reno, OK passed a $7 million bond to support their expansion project. Banner, a Pre-K through 8th-grade school, will add new classrooms, storm shelters, secure entrances, and front offices. The bond will also help expand the gym and update restrooms and the concession area for events. The total project cost is $10 million, with $3 million coming from funds the BPS Board of Education has set aside. Construction is expected to begin as early as this summer!

Cashion Public Schools located in Cashion, OK passed a $39.93 million bond to expand their high school. This will include new classrooms that double as safe rooms, four new science labs, a commons area and cafeteria, a kitchen, field house enhancements, and secure entryways with offices.

Putnam City Public Schools, located in Oklahoma City, OK passed a $198.75 million bond to modernize their schools. The district plans to build new gyms and auditoriums, enhance safety, and upgrade athletic facilities, including football stadiums, tracks, baseball fields, swimming pools, and gyms. They will also improve their Fine Arts facilities and purchase land for future school sites and expansions.
